Özet
Filter characteristics and mode suppression capabilities inside metamaterial- (MTM) filled rectangular wave guides are investigated. Frequency characteristics of single-negative (SNG) and double-negative (DNG) finite slength transverse slabs inside rectangular waveguides are numerically simulated. The simulations are performed via in-house-prepared three-dimensional (3D) finite-difference time-domain package; MTM-3D. Simulations are also repeated with the commercial CST Microwave Studio package and results are compared. Tests show that different combinations of SNG and DNG slabs located transversely inside a rectangular waveguide can be used to obtain multi-stopband filters and to suppress modes (i.e., resonances).
