Döviz kuru dalgalanmalarının net işletme sermayesine etkisi

Abstract

Şirketlerin faaliyet döngüsünü devam ettirebilmesi ve kısa vadeli borçlarını ödemesi açısından net işletme sermayesi önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı döviz kurunda meydana gelen dalgalanmaların şirketlerin net işletme sermayesine etkisinin varlığının araştırılmasıdır. Bu kapsamda kullanılacak olan veriler şirketlerin Kamuyu Aydınlatma Platformu aracılığıyla yayınlanmış olan finansal tablolardan elde edilmiştir, döviz kuru verileri ise Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankasının yayınladığı TÜFE bazlı reel efektif döviz kuru endeksinden elde edilen yüzdelik değişim verileri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın dönemi, 2010Q2-2021Q4 dönemleri olup BİST de yer alan 35 firmanın KAP aracılığıyla finansal tablolarından elde edilen verilerle hesaplanmış net işletme sermayesi verilerinin yüzdelik değişimleri kullanılmıştır. Yöntem olarak Dumitrescu-Hurlin panel Granger nedensellik testi uygulanmıştır.Net working capital is important for companies to continue their operating cycle and pay their short-term debts. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of fluctuations in exchange rates on the net working capital of companies. The data to be used in this context were obtained from the financial statements of the companies published through the Public Disclosure Platform, and the percentage change data obtained from the CPI-based real effective exchange rate index published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. The period of the study is 2010Q2-2021Q4, and the percentage changes of the net working capital data calculated with the data obtained from the financial statements of 35 companies in the BIST via KAP were used. As a method, Dumitrescu-Hurlin panel Granger causality test was applied.
