In this paper we propose a concept for building simulation algorithms for switched fuzzy control systems. Using these concepts we have shown the whole process of modeling, stability analysis and design of stabilizing switched fuzzy logic controllers for the hovercraft-vehicle, as a typical nonholonomic system. Using this typical nonholonomic system (the system is subject to constraints involving both, the position and velocity, whereupon it can not be stabilized by any continuous feedback control law) we have also explored the good performance of switched fuzzy systems in comparison to the ordinary T-S fuzzy systems. MATLAB Simulator (Simulink model) and special MATLAB functions for the switched fuzzy controller of the hovercraft vehicle, along with the numerous simulation results, verify the correctness of the proposed concepts.

Extension of Kalman-Yakubovich-Popov lemma to descriptor systems
Çamlıbel, Mehmet Kanat; Frasca, Roberto (Elsevier, 2009-12)This paper presents a complete analogue of the well-known Kalman-Yakubovich-Popov lemma for descriptor systems, i.e. necessary and sufficient linear matrix inequality conditions for passivity and positive realness of ... -
Robust H∞ SMC of uncertain switched systems with time delay
Lian, Jie; Dimirovski, Georgi M.; Zhao, Jun (IEEE, 2008)This paper investigates the robust Hinfin sliding mode control problem for a class of uncertain switched delay systems. A single sliding surface is constructed such that the reduced-order equivalent sliding motion restricted ... -
Algebraic necessary and sufficient conditions for the controllability of conewise linear systems
Çamlıbel, Mehmet Kanat; Heemels, W. P. M. H.; Schumacher, J. M. (IEEE, 2008-04)The problem of checking certain controllability prop erties of even very simple piecewise linear systems is known to be undecidable. This paper focuses on conewise linear systems, i.e. systems for which the state space is ...
